Sant’Antonio

Between Fiè allo Sciliar and San Constantino, there is the village of Sant’Antonio, located on the road to Siusi allo Sciliar. In the last years this village has considerably increased in size and has become of the largest villages belonging to Fiè. Located at 880 m asl, San Antonio has got about 440 inhabitants.

Hidden in the forest, there is the little Sant’Antonio chapel, which can be visited in a hike across the forest. However, there are several hikes you can start from this place. Thanks to the means of public transport you can easily reach Siusi and Fiè and also experience the largest high Alpine pasture of Europe. The Alpe di Siusi funicular takes you to this fabulous area.

Our tip: What is highly recommendable in summer is a refreshing jump into the waters of the pond of Fiè located close the the village. It has a revitalizing effect on the body, especially after an exhausting hike.
